to check out crazy channels. People love their videos, and YouTube provides a hub for them.

In 2010, YouTube changed its rating system from a 5-star scale to a simple Like/Dislike button. Because most people only used the one or five star ratings, this made a lot more sense. Since this change, the most liked and disliked YouTube videos are interesting topics of discussion.

So, without further ado, let’s count down the current 10 most disliked videos on YouTube as of December 2016!

10. GHOSTBUSTERS – Official Trailer (HD) by Sony Pictures Entertainment

One of the few uploads on this list that isn’t a music video, the trailer for the newest Ghostbusters movie is the most-disliked movie trailer on the website. The movie served as a reboot of the classic franchise, which only had two movies prior to this one: the original in 1984, and the sequel in 1989. The story of this one is a bit sticky, because much of the backlash was directed at the all-female lead cast.

A discussion on these topics is beyond the scope of this article, but the outcry seemed split between the female cast and critique of the movie’s quality. Fans of the franchise were disappointed that the trailer seemed to lack the original’s humor, and thought that the new movie was piggybacking off the Ghostbusters name as a cash-grab.

The film released to decent reviews, including a 73% on Rotten Tomatoes. Notable critics of the film include James Rolfe (the Angry Video Game Nerd), who is a huge fan of Ghostbusters but refused to review the new movie in his usual style.

9. Nicki Minaj – Anaconda by NickiMinajAtVEVO [Explicit]

Leading the way in wholesome music is Nicki Minaj’s massive hit “Anaconda,” which explains the wonders of large posteriors in explicit detail. The song is also peppered with references to various drugs, cementing Minaj’s status as a solid role model for children.

We can assume that this video has so many dislikes because there are decent people out there who recognize this vile, female-degrading “music” for what it is. Still, lyrics like these

Annoying your friends is fun. And as people care a lot about music, one of the best ways to get to them is to force them to sit through a song they hate. Et voila.

, we come across one of Miley Cyrus’s hits about throwing a house party and using some drugs. The former family-friendly face of Hannah Montana turned over a quite the new leaf once she became an adult, and this single highlights her rampant sexually explicit behavior.

It’s not nearly as trashy as other music, but it’s not hard to see why so many people dislike this. Miley Cyrus had a brief solo period after Hannah Montana where she wasn’t a wild performer, but that ended right around this time.

7. Miley Cyrus – Wrecking Ball by MileyCyrusVEVO [Explicit]

Of course, the above can’t compare to Cyrus’s most infamous song. Debuting a few months after the above single, “Wrecking Ball” is another paint-by-numbers single. The music video drew a lot of attention for its portrayal of Cyrus, shown naked on a wrecking ball as the song progresses.

Like “We Can’t Stop,” the video for “Wrecking Ball” has far more likes than dislikes, which suggests plenty of people enjoy the song. At least the lyrics detail a failing relationship instead of drug use and partying, though you still have to endure Cyrus’s grating voice.

, so it’s no surprise a video from an “internet personality” would appear on this list. Sartorius became popular by posting videos of his lip-syncing to popular music. Naturally, this gave way to producing his own music, resulting in the masterpiece that is “Sweatshirt”.

In the video, our 14-year-old hero has a crush on a girl in his class, but realizes she isn’t ready for him to kiss her yet. Thus, he decides to offer her his sweatshirt instead, so she isn’t cold. Isn’t middle school romance lovely? Add in the typical electronic vocals and “music,” and you have a video that’s just begging for a parody

5. PSY – GANGNAM STYLE M/V by officialpsy

Likes: 11,743,360 | Dislikes: 1,657,463

If you’ve been alive for more than a few years, you’ve surely heard this song. The mega-hit from South Korea is the definition of a viral video, as it quickly reached millions of daily views around the world a few months after release. Several celebrities spread it via social media, which was certainly a factor in its rise to popularity.

“Gangnam Style” holds several YouTube records. It’s the most-viewed video (2,715,100,490 as of this writing) on YouTube, and was also the first video to hit a billion views. Its place on this list has more to do with its popularity than massive hate; its tiny dislike bar is a small mar on its overall legacy.

4. ‹ CORTANDO O BOTÃO DO YOUTUBE › by Aruan Felix

This video (which translates to “Cutting the YouTube Button”) comes from a Brazilian YouTuber and went viral in that country after just a day online. The channel’s creator earned the silver YouTube plaque award, which is given to content creators who reach 100,000 subscribers. What he did with it is a little unusual. The video is in Portuguese, but still has the shock value even if you don’t speak the language.

Felix explains that he thinks the award will hold him to 100,000 subscribers and wants to hit one million

, “Friday” received over 30 million views just a week after release. Black’s parents paid a production company for a pre-written song and music video for her to star in. The result wasn’t too pretty.

The lousy premise, stupid lyrics (“Tomorrow is Saturday / And Sunday comes afterwards”), excessive use of auto-tune on Black’s vocals, and strange elements like a teen driving a car made this a video that you had to see to believe. This video paved the way for young YouTube stars and will forever be a staple of YouTube’s history.

Black was only 14 when the video released in 2011. Now an adult, she continues to produce YouTube content, from (far better quality) music to video blogs. She even released a video reacting to “Friday” years later, showcasing her good spirits about the whole ordeal. Good on her.

2. Official Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Reveal Trailer by Call of Duty

It’s long been debated whether gamers are sick of the Call of Duty franchise. It seems that this is the year the staple FPS franchise loses its crown. While rival series entry Battlefield 1 takes the fight to World War I, the developers of Infinite Warfare decided to push Call of Duty into sci-fi combat for the third year in a row. Many players expressed distaste for this decision by disliking its reveal video.

The hate wasn’t for naught. We weren’t crazy about Infinite Warfare‘s multiplayer, and recommend that you invest into the far better experiences of Overwatch, Battlefield 1, or Titanfall 2. Compare this video to the reveal trailer of Battlefield 1 with 2,082,059 likes and 39,794 dislikes, and it’s clear which franchise made the right decision this year.

1. Justin Bieber – Baby ft. Ludacris by JustinBieberVEVO

The king of hated YouTube videos is still at the top. Everything about Bieber’s song is perfect for internet hatred: it’s a pop song, Bieber sounds like a little girl, the lyrics are dumb, and Ludacris comes in to make the song more “hip.” The most hated song by the most hated artist is a perfect fit for the most hated YouTube video.

Bieber has grown up a lot since this song, but plenty of people still dislike him. For most, this single showed all that they needed to know about the budding singer, and they used its dislike button to pool that distaste.

Bring the Hate

It’s pretty interesting to see which videos people really hate. Of the top 10, only three entries aren’t music videos. Considering music videos
